Why matched parts matter

Most zone call backs come from parts that don't match, not parts that break. The voltage must match from end to end. The 240V to 24V step-down transformer must be big enough to run all the motors at once. If not, dampers can stall half open. The shaft fit must be right too. A loose fit will wear and slip. The shaft adapter kit is made to stop that.

Cable is the third thing. The 15M six-core motor cable carries power and signal in one six-core run. Both ends wire up the same way each time. No guesswork on site. Buy the kit as one and each join is sorted.

What a normal ducted home needs

Most Australian homes on one ducted system run four to six zones. You need one F03 motor per zone damper. One shaft adapter kit per motor. One 15 metre cable per zone, to reach the far rooms from the roof space. One 4 & 6 zone controller. One transformer sized for all the motors. We quote it as one kit with the right numbers. Nothing runs short on the day.

What a light commercial job needs

Offices, clinics and small shops need more. There are more controllers, more dampers per floor and longer cable runs. It is often best to split the transformer load, not run it all from one.
