About the Shaft Adapter Kit

The Shaft Adapter Kit is the small mechanical detail that makes a zoning installation reliable long-term. It couples the 6 x 6 mm square drive shaft of an F03 damper actuator motor to the damper spindle inside the ductwork, transferring rotation cleanly and holding the two components in correct alignment. Without a proper adapter, actuator shafts can slip on the damper spindle over time — leading to zones that stop closing fully, poor airflow balance, and callback jobs. The kit is made for the F03's 6 x 6 mm square drive shaft and contains one die-cast adapter with a matching 6 x 6 mm square hole plus two copper sleeves (9.32 mm, 4.11 mm thick) that take up the fit on the damper spindle. The die-cast adapter is electroplated for corrosion resistance and longevity. Because spindle sizes vary, installers should check the spindle they are seating on before ordering. If an adapter or sleeve ever fails, Austra Supply will replace it under the lifetime replacement warranty. Common uses include every new F03 actuator installation, damper replacements on existing systems, and service jobs where a previous coupling has worn or slipped.
